This 288 page hardback is written by Dr Basil Greenhill with Professor John Morrison. This book brings together all the archaeological knowledge on the world's boats and ships which is now available, and is thus an essential reference work for all maritime enthusiasts, historians and students of archaeology. It is far more than a catalogue of the world's boat finds; it is an evaluation of all the evidence on the evolution of boat- and shipbuilding through the ages and it examines the boat as part of the developement of changing civilisations. This book was originally published at £30 but we are able to offer it at £19.00 including postage to a UK address |

| Shipping and Craft by E W Cooke - 1828 |
This is a Masthead facsimile edition published in 1970 and long out of print. The original edition of 64 plates was published in 1828. This edition has additional descriptive notes by Roger Finch. The quality of the etchings is superb and any one of the 64 plates is worthy of being framed. This, however, would destroy a beautiful volume. We have obtained a strictly limited supply of this magnificent out of print book and are able to offer it at £27.00 including postage to a UK address. |
